Solo Drone
3DR has created the one and only drone that can automatically control both copter and camera positioning in flight. The dual 1 GHz Linux companion computers power one-of-a-kind Smart Shots so anyone, beginner or pro, can get sweeping multi-axis cinematic live HD video from day one, just by pushing a button. This drone is used to capture exemplary pictures and videos from a one of a kind angle and view.
Crazyflie 2.0
Since the Crazyflie platform was intended to be used for experiments and development, we wanted to put in some features that made this easier. Debugging and developing for a flying platform isn’t always easy. Here are some of the features:
- Bootload firmware via the radio
- Parameter framework for editing and reading data via the radio
- Logging framework for logging data via the radio
- Lots of CPU cycles left over as well as flash and RAM free to use
- JTAG interface
- Expansion interface to attach new hardware
The difference between these drones is that the Solo drone is used for photography and filming and the Crazyflie 2.0 is used for experiments and development! The Crazyflie 2.0 is controlled using an app on your phone, while the Solo drone comes with its own controller. The Solo drone is a lot simpler to fly and control with a controller that's very easy to learn how to use. The Crazyflie 2. isn't as easy to control when in the air. It will take you longer to master flying the Crazyflie 2.0 than the Solo drone.
